FERTILIZATION

The Greenskeeper multi step program is timed at appropriate intervals to give your lawn what it needs when it needs it. Our most popular program includes 5 fertilizer applications starting in spring with a final dormant feeding taking place in late fall/early winter. Our fertilizer is a combination of slow release granular nutrients that are blended specifically for the unique soil conditions present in our area. Our blend assures you a beautiful lawn above the surface that starts with a healthy root system below.

WEED CONTROL

We spot treat any broad leaf weeds with each service visit. Because of our state of the art equipment, we are able to target existing weeds and ONLY the weeds.

CRABGRASS CONTROL

Our unique approach inhibits crabgrass emergence through spring and summer when infiltration is at its worst. We achieve this by applying a pre-emergent control with both the spring and early summer feedings.

INSECT & GRUB PROTECTION

The Greenskeeper’s single application provides highly effective, season long, preventive and curative control of grubs and surface feeding insects.

CORE AERATION

This process pulls plugs from the soil to loosen compaction. This allows for enhanced bioactivity and better absorption of water, nutrients and oxygen in root zones. The result is a deeper root system and a healthier, lush lawn. Core aeration combined with overseeding helps to thicken an already established lawn.

SLICE SEEDING

Lawns with bare areas can benefit greatly from this service. Slice seeding renovates thin or damaged turf by slicing furrows and depositing seeds into the furrows providing direct contact with soil for optimum germination.

ANIMAL REPELLENT

While animals snacking on your lawn and landscape plants is a concern even more so is what they leave behind. Deer ticks carry Lyme disease. Deer, moles and rabbits are all vehicles for these dangerous insects. Geese leave their excrement where they feed- typically on lawns. Not only is it unsightly, it is unsanitary. We use humane, natural, safe repellents to deter animals from your property. Animals will relocate to find a new food source, unharmed.

NATURAL AND ORGANIC OPTIONS

While our IPM based program minimizes the use of control products, some of our Greenskeeper clients prefer to eliminate their use all together. If you prefer a nutrient only or total organic program, we can design one to meet your needs.

INSECT & DISEASE PROTECTION

Trees and shrubs are subject to a variety of threats. Our targeted applications control insect populations and diseases throughout the year diminishing damage to valuable plant material.

WINTER MOTH PROTECTION

This invasive species- many of our customers refer to as the creepy green worm or inchworm continues to wreak havoc on trees in this area. Not only is the damaged foliage and resulting excrement an unsightly nuisance, excessive defoliation will kill even mature trees.

DEEP ROOT FERTILIZATION

Even mature plants need the right nutrients to maintain vitality. Liquid fertilizer is injected directly into the soil at the root zone of individual plants. Spring feedings promote leaf and tip growth while fall feedings promote proper root development.

WINTER PROTECTION

It’s like a winter coat for your plants. Antidessicant applied to the foliage of evergreens combats cold temperatures and harsh conditions that cause damaging moisture loss.

DORMANT OIL

When applied in late fall or early spring to dormant plants, this treatment smothers egg masses greatly reducing the number of hatched insects. This protects fragile spring buds and tender leaves from damage and infestation.
